Life can be an eclectic, sexy, culinary celebration. After dining at Joso's restaurant you will know what I mean. Situated in the swankiest district in Toronto (it's down the street from the Four Seasons Hotel, a Ferrari and Rolls Royce dealer (you get the idea) rests this sensual, sensational, Italian seafood gem. It's pricey, but not grossly expensive and worth every penny.

Whether you're taking a girl out who's a ton of fun to begin with (as in my case) or just continuing the joy in your current relationship (also in my case), Joso's is a place to test you and your date's sense of humor. Don't take yourself too seriously upon entering this restaurant. One of the owners, who seems to be way too happy (because his restaurant is a culinary seduction and, well, he may also be high on his own fish) greets his guests and then asks them to touch the nipple of a female statue before he seats you. No kidding!

After drink orders are taken, a beautiful woman (whom you could take home to Mom) brings you a display of the most interesting and freshest seafood delights. We chose the Canadian halibut and the Australian Barramundi fish (it's like a butter fish). We started with a combination of grilled and deep fried calamari. It was the best calamari I have ever had, and believe me, I've had a lot. The barramundi comes completely whole by itself and the halibut is accompanied by scalloped potatoes. All of the fish are grilled to perfection with olive oil, lemon, parsley and salt and pepper. (They held true to one of my basic rules: don't over-season fresh, amazing fish EVER.) The meal was fantastic.

Joso's is one of CulinarySeductions.com's ultimate restaurants when it comes to amazing food and a sexy atmosphere. There is plenty of eye candy, from the provocative artsy décor to the beautiful all-female wait staff. Great background music helps set the mood. The only improvement I would recommend is an expanded wine list. Wines from California, Spain, and Italy are fine, but with such an amazingly eclectic restaurant, a wider variety of choices would be appropriate. However, I highly recommend Joso's any night of the week.
