Delicious and adventurous bites span a vast menu at Craft (Tom Colicchio's restaurant) - Los Angeles.
Situated in the heart of Century City, among power talent agencies ICM and CAA, is a sexy and eclectic fine dining experience. The dining room is very warm and the food is tasty. Your date should be impressed enough to hopefully get a little frisky while waiting for your braised short ribs or blackened chicken. Actually don’t get that chicken, it’s not worth it.
The starters are all very good. We sampled Peruvian Octopus, Rice, Beans and Chorizo, Pork Belly and Madras Curry, Frisee, Walnut & Mission Fig and the Burgundy Truffle Vinaigrette. In fact, I recommend getting several starters (since this is family style dining), a cheese course and a dessert. For dessert we sampled a parfait (a sundae) of Caramel Gelato with Fudge and Peanut Brittle. You can skip the main courses because they were just ok.
The service is caring, friendly and knowledgeable. The wine list is expensive, so you may want to bring your own. On Sunday there is no corkage fee, which is a great deal if you plan on bringing your own wine. In addition, DO NOT use the valet parking unless you're very lazy or really want to waste $10. There is free parking in the parking garage.
Overall, I would say it's a decent place to dine because it's fancy enough to impress your date, and the food's good too.
