Chocolate Covered Strawberries

The chocolate covered strawberry in the quintessential Valentine's Day sweet. Strawberries are amazing to begin adding chocolate covered shell makes them out of site. You can use dark chocolate or mile chocolate.
TIME TO MAKE:
15 Minutes + 45 minutes in the refrigerator for all levels of cooks.

Look for strawberries that are bright, red and shiny. Dull, red berries mean they are overripe. They should smell fruity and sweet and be firm without and soft spots or bruises. Remember to check the entire container of strawberries for moldy, dull or bruised fruit.

• 1 pint of fresh strawberries
• Half a bag of either dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips

• Double boiler. You can make one out of a stock pot add some water in the pot and place a glass bowl in the pot, making sure the water just barely touches the bowl. Turn on the heat and boil away.
• Rubber spatula
• Toothpick
• Parchment paper
• Plate

1. Add your chocolate chips to the double boiler after it has started to boil.
2. With care, using your rubber spatula stir until all chocolate has been melted and turn off the boiler.
3. Using a toothpick, gently plunge it in to the top of the strawberry. Place in the chocolate and twirl to cover.
4. Place the chocolate covered strawberry on the plate with the parchment paper and repeat.
5. When done place in the refrigerator.
