The Meal

I love eating wet things from the ocean. This is a wonderful meal that is pretty healthy too. A lot of protein for needed energy latter that evening.

STARTER (Make this before she arrives)
Sassy Spinach and Shrimp Salad

Drink Champagne or Prosecco. Prosecco is Italian sparkling wine.

MAIN COURSE
Easy baked Salmon With Pesto and Feta

Bed of Chopped Spinach. To save some time get a bag of chopped frozen spinach. Thaw it. Heat it up in a sauce pan and add salt and pepper to taste. If you think there is too much spinach in this menu substitute the spinach for my creamy Parsley Mashed Potatoes.

Drink a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine.

SWEET
Drunken Strawberries with Vanilla Ice Cream

Check out the video How To Make Drunken Strawberries!

Drink a Champagne.

The Mood

MUSIC TO FEAST BY
Theivery Corporation "Sounds From the Thievery Hi-Fi"
This CD offers a more up-to-date take on Brazilian themed make-out music. It is chill-out world music that can be played anytime. I have found that its downbeat tempo keeps things moving without drawing your attention. It suggests bumping and grinding, but in a tender way (if so desired, of course.)

SET THE TABLE
Use an informal setting. Meaning napkin folded on the left side of the plate. The soup spoon is resting to the right of the napkin and the dinner fork is resting to the right of the soup spoon. (Napkin, soup spoon, fork, plate) The knife is on the right side of the plate, cutting edge towards the plate. The wine glass is by the upper right hand corner of the plate. Have a water glass to the right of the knife.

LIGHTING Use 3 floating candles in a medium sized white bowl as your centerpiece on the table. If you have room add a some red rose petals it's a great touch. It's a cost effective, romantic solution. Low light, but not low enough to not see your food. (Hint this is a good way to hide a crappy presentation with the food that you did.)
